There’s Something About This Portrait of Mary
While he admits to having “too many” portraits of Mary, his rescue Jack Russell who he got 11 years ago, “I’m obsessed with my dog….When I post pictures of her on my Instagram, they get more likes than I get.”
This painting was a commission from artist Rankin Willard.
“I saw a portrait [Mr. Willard] did of a different Jack Russell. It looked just like Mary, so I asked him to make a big one with the exact same picture but with different markings—I wanted mine to show the brown spots on her face.”
